The trip was a huge success. We all had fun and learned a lot.
We painted, laughed, kayaked, and had wonderful discussions.
The beach house worked out really well, and the setting was awesome.

As we were having lunch, we watched whales, seals, and an osprey with his catch of the day.
Jane and I want to thank all of you, and look forward to some future creative adventures.

Brookings workshop update: All set, ready to go :-)
Hi everyone,
The workshop is looking great. The house is full :-)
A couple of people have indicated that they will come on Friday and Saturday and are hoping to hook up, to share rides.
Please let me know if you want to share a room.
I have a place I can recommend, it is close to the house where we will be staying,
and we all plan to eat dinners together.
No need to eat all by yourself.
3 people are doing the first night, Italian menu.
3 others will make dinner on the second night.
Jane and I will do middle Eastern on Saturday night.
and I will be your beloved bar tenderess. :-)
And my chickens have been very productive, so I will share lots fresh organic eggs in the mornings. Feel free to bring your lunches and extras goodies.
You know how we all love to eat well.
Bring your toys; fishing rods, kites, and kayaks.

Painting with Goly and Jane in Brookings May 28-29-30
Hi everybody,
Welcome to Jane and Goly's new blog.
We are going to teach a Watercolor Painting Workshop in Brookings in May.
It is coming right up, so please mark these dates on your calendars and plan to join us :-)
Dates: May 28-29-30
Cost: $200
location: Brookings
We are so excited to be able to share this fun and creative weekend with you on the coast. We have rented a beautiful home on the beach in a calm and protected area with a private cove.
It is possible to view whales right from the deck.
The workshop size is limited to 12 participants. Painters of all levels are welcome.
The focus of this workshop is about creating dynamic compositions, using value studies, color harmonies, simplified shapes, and learning how to use color chords to create focus and drama.
Our evening critiques will help each of you in developing your own personal style.
There are enough spaces for 6 people to share the house with us, and we'd be happy to recommend lodging options for additional participants.
We are hoping you can join us.
The cost per person to stay at the Beach House for 3 nights, including workshop fees, rent, and shared food, is $200
If you would like to arrange your own food and lodging, you may join the workshop for $50 per day.
